There has been lots of excitement over the last few weeks as we had the opportunity to see chicks hatching. A big thank you to Nigel, who looked after the eggs and then the chicks, watching their temperature in the incubator and prioritising their welfare.
All of the classes have been keeping an eye on the eggs, watching the cracks developing, observing with torches and comparing the eggs to the egg charts. Some children were lucky enough to see the eggs hatch and a little chick emerging. Every class has been popping up and down the stairs to have a peek at the little chicks who are growing quickly. The chicks were even given different names, including 'Chicken Licken'!
