Huge thanks to Monivea Abbey Ladies Football for running a new one-day
national schools competition for girls in memory of two fantastic people, Mikey
Vaughan and Kate Moran.
Huge congratulations to this year's cup and shield winners,
Newtown NS and Monivea NS.
Kate was a past pupil of our school which made it so meaningful to win
the Kate Moran shield. She touched so many in our community and we are honoured
to remember her in our school. The girls had a fantastic day and
Kate would have been very proud of the display put on by the girls. They faced
tough competition and were victorious in the end.
Many thanks to the club for running the competition and to Kate’s family
for being there to present the shield.
