On Friday 2nd May, 6th Class held a 'Showcase Day' in the hall. This was the end of our Junior Entrepreneur Programme (J.E.P.) journey. The J.E.P. involves developing a business idea, chosen with the help of some local business 'Dragons'. The children worked in teams, invested in their business, developed, produced and marketed their product and even ended up making a profit! It was a great learning experience and gave the children real-life experience of what it is like to work as an entrepreneur and how much is involved in running your own business. Our Showcase Day involved making smoothies and selling them to the children at school, with a little treat. The Communications Team set up an Information Station to share the J.E.P. journey with the other classes, this included an information PowerPoint that they created themselves. Everyone enjoyed the day and the children loved the smoothies!
