Santa comes to School!! ๐ŸŽ…

There was great excitement last Friday when Santa paid a surprise visit to Monivea. He said he was flying over Monivea Woods and he remembered hearing how fantastic the children in Monivea were so he stopped in to say hello and bring a few surprises. He sang with the children who happened to be outside practicing their carols, he even had a few words with the builders and told them to keep up the good work. He visited every classroom with treats and surprises, we heard lots of stories about Bernard the head elf and the children told Santa what elf on the shelf has been up to in many houses. Poor Santa doesn't know what he will do with them all when they return to the North Pole!
Santa spoke to every class about being good every day and helping out at home over Christmas, he remembered bringing presents to many of our children's parents and even some of the teachers! He gave every class tonight off homework and answered lots of questions  on his way around the school.
He was very interested in learning Lรกmh sign language and he even practiced some Irish. We loved having a visit from Santa and we think Santa really enjoyed his visit to Scoil Mhuire. Lots more photos to see on our school news section...
