Thursday June 17th 2021 marked a very special day in Monivea National School with the graduation of our 6th class pupils. The weather stayed in our favour and we were able to host our class mass and ceremony safely outside. It is an evening that all staff in Monivea greatly look forward to annually, but due to current restrictions, they were unable to join us but they all sent their good wishes to the children. The children worked so hard in the run up to their big day. We were so grateful that Fr. Boyle was able to join us for the mass. The evening kicked off with the children arriving on the red carpet to start the celebrations. Mrs. Geoghegan opened the evening and welcomed all our children and families. The children all took part in the mass with music, readings and poetry. Mr. Faherty and Mrs. Geoghegan finished off the evening with some lovely words to the children and their families after many many happy and memorable years in our school. The evening was finished with a beautiful and emotional slide show of photos of the children and their journey through Monivea School. The children were then presented with their certs and a gift from school and their own individual named cupcake!!!
