Last week marked a very special week in our school calendar. Our fun and activities began on Tuesday and the children engaged in a wide variety of sports throughout the week. The children did basketball, yoga, table tennis, football, sessions from Fitness Ireland and Paul Walsh. We finished off the week with a walk to the woods by some classes and some traditional games in the yard. We also had a very special visitor to our school on Wednesday and each child got to visit the Ice Cream van. We had the Tuam Hearld visit us to mark the successful achievements of gaining our Active Flag and our Amber Flag. Aine Mc Dermott, our local celebrity and Gold Special Olympic Medal winner who raised our Flags. Keep an eye out in the Tuam Hearld this week to catch our children who were involved in the Active and Amber School Committees.
