The children from 2nd to 6th Class are participating in a programme called Accelerated Reader. It is a reading initiative that puts pupils in charge of their own reading. It motivates, monitors and manages students reading through independent practice. All the books in the school were levelled into categories. The children then took a quiz to find their own level. They can then actively enage in reading at their own level and answer quizzes based on the books they have read. All their quizzes are recorded in their own profile and their reading is tracked and monitored by their teacher. The children are loving the new initiative and are motivated to continue their progress as they work their way through the levels and develop a true love for reading!!
