Mrs. Doheny's Retirement

Today marked was a very special day in Monivea. Mrs. Helen Doheny is retiring after 23 years of loyal service, hardwork and dedication to the children, staff and school of Monivea. We want to thank Helen whole heartedly for all her work, humour, dedication and kindness to the entire school community but especially to our children that were so fortunate to have had her as their teacher. Fr. Boyle delivered a beautiful mass and Mrs. Diviney played some beautiful music where herself and long term colleague and friend, Mrs. Keane danced to the tunes!! Mrs. Geoghegan was unable to attend but wrote a beautiful heart felt speech,  reiterating, the huge loss Helen will be to our school and thanked her for all her dedication and hardwork throughout the years. The staff played an active role in the mass and the children presented her with a beautiful set of scrap books filled with their love and memories of Mrs. Doheny. The Staff and the Board of Managemnent made a presentation to Mrs. Dohney, which I'm sure she will treasure.

On behalf of all the staff, children, BOM and the entire school community, we want to wish Helen, a very long, healthy and happy retirement and we hope she will visit us soon.
