The 22nd of October marked a very special day for Monivea National School with a special visit from Fr O Brien to officially mark his retirement in the school. Mrs. Geoghegan welcomed Fr OBrien and thanked him for all his kindness, hardwork and dedication to the school throughout the years. He was presented with a gift by John Loughnane from our Board of Management, as a token for all his hard work in the school.
Fr. O Brien was always a very welcome visitor in the school and we have many fond memories. The children sang 'This little light of Mine' , accompanied by our resident musicians, Ms. Meaney, Ms. Comer, Ms. Fahy and Mr. Faherty and Divine.
We wish Fr. O Brien a long and happy retirement and look forward to seeing him again soon.
