Our school chess team involving children from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class took part in Féile Fichille in Tuam. They enjoyed a fun, friendly, meet-and-greet style chess tournament organised by Ficheall; the volunteer network of primary teachers in Ireland. The children got to wear the school jerseys to represent our school, and play against children in other local schools. We left with a unique certificate which will be displayed inside the school.
